Refund Policy

1. What this policy covers
This Refund Policy explains how refunds are handled for the two types of payments associated with Khelam: (a) payments players make to venues for booked slots, and (b) subscription fees venue owners pay to Khelam for listing plans.
Khelam does not process or hold player-to-venue booking payments. Those payments are made directly to the venue, so refunds for a venue visit are handled by the venue, not Khelam — see Section 2.
2. Venue bookings (player payments to venues)
When you book a slot through Khelam, you pay the venue directly — by cash, UPI, card, or any method the venue accepts, on arrival or as agreed with them. Because Khelam is not a party to this payment:
- Refunds, rescheduling, and cancellation terms for a venue booking are set by the individual venue, not by Khelam.
- Each venue's cancellation and advance-payment policy, where provided, is shown on its listing page within the app.
- If you have a dispute about a refund for a venue visit, you must raise it directly with the venue. Khelam can help facilitate contact with the venue but cannot enforce or guarantee a refund on the venue's behalf.
- If a venue listed on Khelam is found to be consistently unresponsive to legitimate refund disputes, please report it to us at the contact below — we may remove the listing.
3. Venue owner subscription plans
Venue owners on the Pro plan pay Khelam directly (currently via manual bank transfer or UPI to Khelam, while automated billing is being set up). For these subscription payments:
- Free trial: The Pro plan includes a 30-day free trial. You may cancel at any time during the trial with no charge.
- Monthly subscription fee (₹999/month): If you cancel within 7 days of a billing date for reasons attributable to a service issue on Khelam's side (e.g. extended platform downtime preventing you from managing your listing), you may request a full refund of that billing cycle.
- Change of mind: Subscription fees already paid for the current billing cycle are non-refundable for a simple change of mind, but you may cancel to prevent future charges at any time.
- Commission on bookings: Since Khelam does not currently process booking payments (see Section 2), no commission is deducted automatically today. Once automated payment processing is introduced, the commission refund terms will be updated here in advance.
4. How to request a refund
To request a refund for a Khelam subscription charge, email us with:
- Your registered venue name and owner account email.
- The date and amount of the charge in question.
- The reason for your refund request.
Send this to support@khelam.space with the subject line "Refund request."
5. Processing time
We aim to review and respond to refund requests within 5 business days. If a refund is approved, it will be issued to the original payment method used, and may take an additional 5–10 business days to reflect depending on your bank or UPI provider.
